My interest in retirement planning was piqued at a very young age. It stemmed from my passion to help families to develop financial freedom and financial security during retirement. My goal is to help at least one family a day to create the retirement lifestyle of their dream!
I am the founder and President of Retirement Planning Doctors. I develop and implement comprehensive retirement plans for clients. Also, I am an adjunct professor at California Lutheran University where I teach graduate level courses in financial planning, investment planning, insurance/ risk management, and retirement income planning.
I obtained a dual Ph.D. in Financial Planning and Retirement Planning from the American College in 2019. My dissertation focus was on creating a bridge between health planning and financial planning.
I hold numerous licenses and registrations in the areas of real estate, mortgages, investments and insurance and I hold financial industry renown designations, Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®), Certified in Long-term Care (CLTC®)
I entered the financial industry in 1998 as a real estate developer. Then subsequently, I became the broker/owner of a top producing multi-office real estate company that received numerous awards. During this time, I became the owner/managing partner of a real estate title company and a mortgage company. After the great recession, I transitioned into the capital market and risk management sectors in 2009 to help clients build more diverse wealth portfolios.
Prior to becoming a real estate developer/real estate broker, my interest in healthcare and affordable medicine led me to pursue studies in Health and Science at the University of Florida. After completing my studies to become a physician assistant, I practiced within the field of internal medicine.
I have been married to Daryl Turner, MD since 1991. We reside in Florida and are the proud parents of three wonderful sons.
I enjoy learning, teaching, interior decorating, floral arranging, tennis, walking, chess, traveling, fine dining and hosting parties.
My community involvement has included, Habitat for Humanity, the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army, the Affordable Housing Council, and the Financial Planning Association.
I bring a kind, caring, friendly style as well as a great fund of knowledge when serving the financial and retirement needs of others!
